Lindsay Bachman is so excited to serve the Hope Community as the Education Coordinator! Lindsay has a Bachelor's Degree from Cornell College, a Master's Degree from the University of Denver, as well as additional certificates from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Lindsay started her education journey as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Denver as she pursued her graduate degree. After she finished her graduate coursework, Lindsay was selected to participate in "Teach for America", through which she got her first teaching job in Colorado Springs at Atlas Preparatory Academy. At Atlas, Lindsay served as a Lifeskills teacher, an inclusion ELA/Math/Social Studies teacher, and the special education case manager for the 6th and 7th grades. It was on a visit to South Carolina that Lindsay learned about Project Hope Foundation and, after spending a day with the students, she fell in love with Project Hope, its mission, and its students. She and her husband decided to move from Denver, Colorado to Greenville so that she could be a part of Project Hope. Since 2014, Lindsay has been a Lead Teacher for the upper grades in Hope Academy.

As Education Coordinator, Lindsay is excited to create and manage an educational program that serves all students, partnering with Hope Reach to ensure that all students are able to learn in the way best for them. She intends to help teachers utilize Project-Based-Learning- such as 'Genius Hour' and 'Book Club'-, SMART student goals, adapted curriculum that utilizes the SC state standards, and effective communication with families to ensure that every child in the Hope community can reach their educational potential. While academic achievement is important, she believes it is equally important to cultivate confidence, social skills, self-regulation techniques, and a lasting love of learning in every child. She is thrilled to serve the Hope community as we work together toward these goals!

Lindsay is excited to work with Hope students, families, and staff to help every child achieve their full potential and cannot wait to get started!
