PALMETTO KIDS FIRST SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR BRIDGING THE GAP AND HOPE ACADEMY
Palmetto Kids FIRST Scholarship Program is a South Carolina nonprofit 501(c)(3) that provides K-12 scholarships for eligible "exceptional needs" children to attend the independent school of their parents choice. Bridging the Gap and Hope Academy have partnered with this program to pursue scholarships for students who meet the qualifications. The maximum scholarship is $10,000 per child, and funds are released directly to the school. The following is a brief overview of the application process:
1. Complete the Waiting List Application
2. Provide proof of eligibility with the Medical Professional Form or a current IEP
3. Hope Academy will inform all recipients of application status
NOTE: All applications must be submitted as a group for the coming school year (e.g., 2015-2016) through Hope Academy's administration, not through the online website for Palmetto Kids First. The Hope Academy Office provides the Step 1 and Step 2 forms to families and reviews all documentation prior to submission. We encourage all families with children enrolled in BTG to direct any questions directly to Hope Academy. All families on the waiting list or seeking enrollment should continue to consult directly with Palmetto Kids First.
