Dear Hope Families,
We are excited to welcome our Mauldin Service Learning Students to Hope Academy, starting on Wednesday. These students from Mauldin High School will be volunteering in our classes throughout the year during the 8:30-9:15 and 12:00-12:45 time periods. We are especially pleased to have this ongoing connection with Mauldin High in preparation for the Mauldin Spirit Week, Feb. 4-11.
The fifth annual Fall into Fashion to benefit Project HOPE Foundation will take place on Sunday, November 14, at the Crowne Plaza. Lori Schur and her committee are seeking vendors to purchase space at the fashion show. If you know of anyone with a business to promote (think Pampered Chef, Party Lite Candles, Stationary and fun holiday items), please contact Lori at 864-350-5872. Currently, we have a jewelry vendor, Mary Kay cosmetics, Southern Living at Home and a few other fun vendors. The fashion show is a great way to reach new customers before the holiday season. We average 120 women each year! Tickets are currently available in the Hope Academy office! Information is available at www.projecthopesc.org all-into-fashion1!
We are in need of the following donated items:
o tv with at least a 19” screen
o video/dvd player
o mp3 players (small ipods, etc.)
o flat panel computer monitors
Remember that donations are tax-deductible!
Take a look at some footage from the first leg of the HOPE Relay race course at: http://projecthopesc.org/relay-blog. The Early Registration discount ends on Wednesday, September 15. You can reserve a team without having complete team information.
We look forward to Donuts for Dads on Wednesday, September 29, starting at 8:00 a.m.
Have a great week!
Lisa & Susan
