Hello Parents,
We had a great time at the Breakathon on Saturday. It was great to see all of you that were there! A big thanks goes out to Master Kim and Michelle Kim at World Class Tae Kwon Do for donating the proceeds to Project HOPE Foundation and Hope Academy. The students also had a great time last week when the Kim’s visited the school and did some Tae Kwon Do with the students.
The school was visited briefly this morning by Benton Blount, country music recording artist and friend of Hope, and the students sang Happy Birthday to Benton rather than him singing to the students! Refer to an email from Lori Schur if you are interested in participating in a new project Benton has coming up.
This week, we are celebrating our teachers with a week of appreciation. Breakfast was brought in for them this morning and we have lunch planned for them on Wednesday (so you know for planning your own surprises!) Other than that, the sky is the limit! Have your children help and use their imagination and creativity to create some special moments for your teachers this year.
Our end-of-the-year program is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, May 27. Please join us for this special time for all the students. Classroom recognition schedules will be sent out by your teacher (some will be before the program, some after to accommodate siblings). Plan to join us for lunch in the CLC Gym to celebrate!
I am attaching the nomination form for the 2011 Hope Award. Anyone associated with Project HOPE and Hope Academy can be nominated for this award (except Ms. Susan and Ms. Lisa), so please take a look at the form and make your nomination. The recipient of this year's award will be announced at the end of the year program.
If you have photos from any Hope events, please share them with us! You may send them in on a disc. We'll even provide the discs if needed!
I hope you have a great week! Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
