Another busy week is off to a great start here at Hope Academy. We enjoyed some beautiful weekend weather so now it's time to get back to work!
- We would like to welcome a newcomer to Hope Academy. Ria has joined Ms. Teresa's K3 class. Please be sure to say hello when you see her!
- Details of Mauldin Spirit Week (Feb. 11-18) will be coming soon. Each day particular local restaurants will be partnering with Mauldin High School to share profits on behalf of Hope.
- Mauldin High is selling two different t-shirts for Spirit Week. One is a neon t-shirt with HOPE written across the front. This one comes in neon pink, orange, yellow and green. The second t-shirt is the official spirit week t-shirt that is dark green with ProjectHOPE and Mauldin 2011 Spirit Week on the back and the autism ribbon on the front. Either shirt is $10 and would be great to show support by buying one (or more) of these. They are only in adult sizes and ORDERS ARE DUE TOMORROW!
- We have a few openings for next year (2011-12). Please take a moment to think about who might be great classmates for your children and ask them to take a look at our program. Facebook is a great way to spread the word. If you would like for us to come and speak to a group about Hope Academy, we are happy to! Please call us at the office to schedule a time. 676-0028
- Stephanie Martin is planning another social gathering to share information about our golf tournament. If you are interested in attending, please contact the office. You will not be asked to donate or solicit money; instead, you will enjoy a casual evening of sharing ideas.
- We have posted the February newsletter on the website. Please take a minute to see what your student's class has been learning. www.projecthopesc.org/hope-academy-newsletters.
- Our annual Grandparent's/Special Friend's Brunch is March 4 at 10:30 am. We would like to have the students prepare special invitations for their guests, so please email RSVP to elainevanhook(at)projecthopesc.org with the names, addresses, and emails of who you will be inviting.
WISH LIST
- We are interested in borrowing a copy of any language Rosetta Stone materials to try out. Please call the office if you can help. 676-0028.
- We would like "walkman" type cassette players and MP3 players for audio books.
- We would like headphones as well - preferably the larger type that block out sound.
Volunteer Needs
- Grandparent's and Special Friend's Brunch - we need parents willing to help setup, serve, and clean up on the morning of March 4.
- We need many volunteers for the annual golf tournament and auction dinner on April 10 & 11. Sign up at www.projecthopesc.org/volunteer-registration. There are many opportunities prior to, during, and after the event.
Have a great week! We're glad you are part of the Hope family.
