Monday Message 12/13/2010

This week our students are hard at work preparing to entertain you at Thursday evening’s Holiday Program.  Please have your student(s) here by 6:30.   Ms. Christine’s class will meet in the main building in room 113.  All other classes will meet in their regular classroom.  The program will begin at 7:00pm.  DVDs of the program may be purchased for $10.  Orders will be taken in the entry of the Sanctuary.  DVDs will be available for pickup in January when we return to school.

As winter weather approaches, be aware that we will be closed any time that Greenville County Schools are closed.  We only post our closing on WSPA & WYFF, not WLOS, as this is an Asheville channel.  There is another HOPE Academy in Asheville and this may cause some confusion.

Academys 4 & 5 are scheduled to go to the Peace Center tomorrow, Tuesday.  Virtual Hope is scheduled to go to the Peace Center on Wednesday.   Please remember your child’s field trip shirt.

School will resume Monday, January 3, 2011.  Please enjoy your time off!

Priority registration for returning students and siblings will begin January 4, 2011.  Forms will be sent home with your child on January 4.

Looking ahead to January, we are out of school on January 14 & 17.  Please plan accordingly.

12th Annual Hope Invitational Golf Tournament
April 10 & 11, 2011

We are beginning to plan for this year’s golf tournament, our largest fundraiser. Please consider how you can be part of this event.  All the proceeds from the tournament go directly into Project HOPE’s programs, one of which is Hope Academy.  Last year, the tournament raised over $140,000!  WOW! 
Here are some ways to get involved:

• Volunteer to be part of the Golf Committee, led by Mark Martin;
• Volunteer to be part of the Auction Committee, led by Stephanie Martin;
• Volunteer to secure sponsorships;   
• Volunteer to work at the auction dinner on Sunday, April 10;
• Volunteer to setup the golf courses on either the evening of April 10 or the morning of April 11;
• Volunteer to be part of the golf tournament event on April 11.
