Dear Hope Families,

Recess and P.E. are even more fun in this cool Fall weather! If you have a child in A1, A2, or A3, please change out his/her extra clothes (in case of accident/spills) to ones that are appropriate for colder weather.

Academy 3 is scheduled to attend a show at the Peace Center tomorrow.  Academy 5 has a field trip to a Schiele Museum in NC tomorrow and will be returning at 5:00pm.  Academy 5 is also attending a show at the Peace Center on Thursday.  Please remember the red Hope T-shirts.  The new order of shirts will be in this week.  We have "loaner" shirts until the new shirts arrive.

Donuts for Dads was a great success. (Although based on the number of donuts consumed and the resulting sugar highs, our teachers are lobbying for “Fruit for Fathers” next year!)

In the interest of equal opportunities, we are inviting our moms to join us on Monday, October 18, at 8:00 a.m. for “Muffins for Moms.”

Advent United Methodist Church has invited our families to join them for worship on October 24 for Children’s Sabbath at 8:30, 9:55, or 11:15 am. We will have children speaking at each service to represent our program. Please plan on coming so that Advent families can get to know us. Our students are welcome to wear their red Hope t-shirts to the service.

General Mills BoxTops for Education are due by October 25 for the fall semester’s contest. The winning class will have a “Fun Friday” afternoon. The winning class will have an opportunity to vote on the activities.

Mark your calendars to attend Advent’s HopeFest from 10-2 on October 30 for carnival games, fun activities, and great food. This event is a fund-raiser with proceeds benefitting Advent & Hope Academy.
