Saturday, November 13, 2010
The HOPE Relay is a running adventure created to provide our community with a unique running relay event while supporting the programs of Project HOPE Foundation.
The HOPE Relay combines the joy of running, the camaraderie of a team, and the competition of a race. With 10 legs of varying difficulty, this event is designed for runners of different ages and levels. Enjoy the spirit and team-building energy of completing a fun and challenging adventure with your running friends.
The Relay is a 42-mile journey beginning on the trails of Paris Mountain State Park, heading up and over Paris Mountain, winding through Furman University, running along the Swamp Rabbit Trail and concluding in downtown Greenville. Teams will consist of 5 runners where each team member will run two legs, ranging from 3 - 7 miles each. Runner 1 will run Legs 1 and 6. Runner 2 will run Legs 2 and 7. Runner 3 will run Legs 3 and 8 and so on through Runner 5. See details of the race course here.
We look forward in sharing a unique running experience. Whether you build your team with family, friends, business associates, or college buddies, you are sure to enjoy the HOPE Relay!
It is not a sprint. It is a team effort. It will test you. Run with us.
