Program Director, Allison Petralia, BCBA

Allison grew up in Columbia, SC, and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Converse College in 2009. Her first experience with Applied Behavior Analysis was in the fall of 2009, when she joined the Project Hope team as a line therapist. She received her master’s degree in psychology with a concentration in ABA from Auburn University in August, 2011, and her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis in September, 2011. After graduation, she began working with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, working with adults with developmental disabilities both in residential settings and in working towards deinstitutionalization. Allison is very excited to be back at home with Project Hope, and is looking forward to helping make a difference in the lives of people and families dealing with autism.

During her free time, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband, puppy, friends, and family, and watching the New York Giants and Auburn Tigers win football games.

Lead Teacher, Sara McIntosh

Sara McIntosh was born in Charlotte NC. She graduated from Converse College, where she was an NCAA athlete, with a major in psychology and minor in business administration. She now calls Polk County, NC, home. She enjoys hiking with her dog Tator Tot.

She interned with HopeReach through college and now is excited to be a line therapist and assistant teacher full time. She is passionate about mental health. She also works at CooperRiis Healing Community, in Asheville, NC, on the weekends. Sara has five years of experience at CooperRiis, working with adults with mental health challenges. 

Sara also fills her time with rock climbing, horseback riding, and hanging out with friends.

Lead Teacher, David Shepherd

David was born in Michigan and moved to South Carolina when he was 12 years old. He has an Associate's Degree in Human Services from Greenville Technical College and is currently working on his Bachelor's Degree in Human Services at Southern Wesleyan University. He has been with Hope Reach since September, 2015, and started working with Hope Alive Junior a month later.

David loves sports, especially hockey, and played for over 10 years. He also enjoys riding a bicycle and running for exercise.


Assistant Teacher, Abby Blackwell

Abbey grew up and still lives in Greenville, SC. She graduated from Presbyterian College in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in psychology and history. She joined Project Hope in January of 2016. Abbey has always a passion for working with children and young adults! She is incredibly thankful Project Hope came into her life and believes it has changed it forever.

In her free time, Abbey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and being outside! 

Assistant Teacher, Caitlin Dobson

Caitlin was born in Atlanta, but now calls Boiling Springs, SC home. She has worked in ABA since 2013, and joined Project Hope in December of 2015. Currently she is working to obtain a bachelor's degree in Human Development from Limestone College. She is very excited to join HAJ as an assistant teacher for the 2016-2017 school year! 

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys cooking, gardening, reading for pleasure, thrift shopping, yoga, walking, and hiking with her husband Jason.

Assistant Teacher, Victoria Eastland

Victoria was born in Greenville, South Carolina. She earned a degree in Office Administration before finding her true passion - working with children. Victoria first joined Hope Reach in October of 2015 as a line therapist. She loved working with younger children and watching them grow and advance their skills. Victoria has been with Hope Alive Jr since August of 2016. She hopes to advance her own education with a focus on behavior analysis in the coming months in order to maximize her impact on the children she is blessed to influence. She finds the work with special needs teens and pre-teens challenging and rewarding.

In her spare time, Victoria is active in her church youth group, enjoys spending time with friends and running road races. 

Assistant Teacher, Brandon Gwinn

Brandon is from Spartanburg, SC and has worked at Hope Reach since April 2015. Prior to working at Hope Reach, he graduated from Clemson University in 2014 with a degree in Psychology and Communications Studies. During his time spent at Hope Reach, Brandon has found that his commitment to helping his students succeed in life has had an unprecedented impact on his own life in a variety of ways.

During his free time, Brandon enjoys watching and collecting old films, discovering and sharing music, and playing with his Basset Hound, Lady Olive.

Assistant Teacher, Deana Moore

Deana was born in Greenville,SC. She has been with Hope since February. Deana is currently going to Greenville Tech for an associates in science to transfer to a 4 year college for a bachelor's in Psychology. Deana has always wanted to have a career working with kids and adolescents, and she has found that Hope is the right fit for her. She loves that she can help teach and be taught at the same time.

Her hobbies are: Teaching color guard at Woodruff High School and performing in an independent color guard in Atlanta, Georgia on weekends. Other hobbies are hiking, hanging out with friends, and going to concerts.

Meredith Weathers is from Spartanburg, SC. She has been working for Hope since August 2016. She graduated with her degree in psychology from North Greenville University. 

She enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and sports. She specifically enjoys cheering on the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Carolina Panthers, and the Atlanta Braves.
