Message from the Teacher:

It is a new year and a new opportunity to learn, share, and grow here at HOPE Academy!  Mrs. Bettye and I are thrilled to be able to work with  wonderful students every day.  We strive to facilitate growth and mastery of skills, concepts, and means of self-expression. Academy 5 students bring enthusiasm and their best efforts to school each day and are met with teachers who are eager to channel and focus that energy into academic and personal successes. Let's make 2011 a terrific year together!

Meet the Teacher's Assistant:

Ms. Bettye

Message from the Assistant:  Mrs. Bettye has been a teacher for 21 years, eight of them at Hope Academy.  She is an active member of Advent United Methodist Church and the Rose Hammond Circle.  Bettye is an alumnus of UNC-Greensboro and received her M.Ed at Georgia State University.

In her free time, she enjoys travel, reading, and baking.  Bettye is married to Alan and they have two adult children, Andrew and Amanda.
