Bridging the Gap Preschool Classroom
We strive to create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment where kids want to be and where learning feels like play. This classroom setting is unique in that we have a smaller class size with lower teacher/student ratios which are more conducive for an optimal learning experience.
Our classroom promotes peer play and interaction while incorporating academics. We typically have weekly themes covering topics such as colors, numbers, shapes, and letters. We incorporate different activities like crafts and show & tell to enhance the theme and help our kids generalize the concepts we teach.
We strive to meet each child at their level and work with them to literally "bridge the gap" to their next success.
Lead Teacher, Ms. Stella
I started working at Project HOPE Foundation in July 2013 and was first introduced to the Bridging the Gap program as a shadow in the Preschool class. My ABA experience has come through Hope Reach, but I've always worked with children in various settings and consider this my dream job!
I became the BTG Preschool Assistant Teacher in the summer of 2014, and moved to Lead Teacher for BTG Preschool in 2015. I also transitioned to a Senior Therapist role for Hope Reach summer of 2015.
My goal is to create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment where kids want to be and where learning feels like play. The classroom setting is so unique and I enjoy having the ability to interact with several children at once while teaching skills on multiple levels. I strive to meet each child at their level and work with them to literally “bridge the gap” to their next success. It’s always a rewarding experience to see both kids and parents thrilled with progress, no matter how small.

Hobbies: home decorating, shopping, getting ideas from Pinterest, enjoying spending time with my husband & cat, and coffee.
Assistant Teacher, Mr. Ben
I began working for Project Hope in May of 2015. My first ABA experience came as a line therapist with Hope Reach, but I also spent time as a shadow in the BTG preschool classroom that first summer. I have learned so much this last year working with clients across the spectrum and in a wide variety of environments. I was thrilled when I was offered the BTG Preschool Assistant Teacher position for this summer and the 2016-2017 school year. I am extremely excited to learn and work with everyone at Bridging the Gap.
I have always been a kid at heart, so working with children comes naturally to me. I love their beautiful smiles, curious nature, and hilarious ways. My goal is to provide a fun, open, and loving environment that offers each student their best chance to succeed. I want to foster an atmosphere of communication in order to equip every child with the means to accomplish anything they put their mind to. I cannot wait to work alongside the students as they progress through their individual journey.
